Teaching Yoga Day 8

It's hot here in Ojai.

Today we opened with "opener" of choice.
Most people choice supine BK with a bolster and no leg support.

Gathered to discuss transitions.
The instruction used to move from pose to pose.
After a bit of discussion and demonstration, stood up and practiced.
A handful of peeps led us through different creative transition patterns.
The patterns resulted in some good questions and sharing opportunities.

Short 10 minute Break

Yin Yoga Practice
This build perfectly on Arturo's lecture about the Connective Tissue, gave me a chance to share about the chakras a little.  But peeps were too hot and exhausted to also do a chakra bandha meditation.  So we did a pranayama exercise to encourage the movement in the spine and then let the effort of the exercise go.

3:00 Closed After this Practice.

And tonight we went out to dinner at Mary's Secret Garden in Ventura and saw Kung Fu Panda. The plan had been to go to Love Guru but I awoke to terrible reviews and just couldn't bear the possibility of our movie night being a bummer.  So we switchoed changeoed and I think everyone liked it.

What an amazing group.
